Chatham Clay Studio

This complete pottery course gives a grounding in both throwing on the potter’s wheel and handbuilding. There will be 8 weeks of intensive work on the potter’s wheel learning the basic technique of throwing, trimming and pulling and attaching a handle.

We will also cover general and specialized glazing techniques. For those with more of an interest in hand building, we will learn techniques such as coiling, pinching and slab building.
